Get to the splash parks while you still can!!

 Parr Park Spray Ground

Hours: 8 am to 8 pm daily
Cost: Free

Address: 3100 Parr Lane, Grapevine, Texas
Closes Sept. 30th
The lazy days of summer have come to an end, as far as any school age child is concerned.  That doesn't mean that you can't soak up what is left of the warm weather while it lingers on for a few more weeks.

Most Spray/Splash Pads/Parks are closed after Labor Day.  Grapevine, fortunately, has kept their 2 Spray Grounds open until September 30th.  Your children can go release their wiggles in the park, and come back to cool off under the sprays and sprinkles of the Parr Park and Dove Park Splash Pad.  The pavilions are available to rent and have electric outlets (2), picnic tables, and there are 3 right next to the park and spray ground, and 1 more giant pavilion closer to the large open field.  Water shoes are encouraged, although not mandatory.
I held my son's very first birthday party here and it was amazing!!  I wanted to have it at a water park, because his birthday is in August, but then I realized that every single person that came to the party would have to pay to get in.  That turns people away immediately.  I also didn't want my guests to feel financially drained at the end of the day.  A family of 4 would have had to pay around $30 just to ATTEND the party, not counting the cost to drive there, the present, wrapping paper/bag, and of course the concession stand with it's $3 bottles of water.  So at the end of the day, each family would have spent an estimated $75 easily just to attend a 1 year old's party.
Here, I rented a pavilion for the same amount as it would have cost me at the water park.  BUT, nobody had to pay to get in.  We had a nice little pavilion to ourselves, we used the electric outlets to power 2 fans, (which was genius as there was no breeze that day), and the children ran amok at the park and splashed around to cool off whenever they felt like it.
I highly recommend this park for any gatherings or just a day out with the kids.
